This premier exhibition displays the exchange, access and use of data through interoperability profiles and standards in real time with live products currently in the marketplace—backed by the strength of HIMSS’s global experience, expertise and thought leadership.
The highest-trafficked area of the exhibit floor, the showcase is packed with nearly 20 demonstration areas, a large education theater, a product marketplace, on demand content and more.
Our mission is to demonstrate the power of standards-based interoperability by showcasing systems exchanging and using data in real time to improve care, outcomes and experience. Attendees will get a broad picture of interoperability opportunities and successes with demonstrations on a variety of topics, including pediatric cancer, heart failure and substance abuse treatment.

Premier Level Participation* [Limited Availability]
In addition to Connected Level participation, the following benefits are exclusive for Premier Level Sponsors:
- Demonstrate technologies with one of two options:
- Participate with up to 7 technologies in multiple demonstrations (e.g. platforms, systems, APIs, etc.). OR
- Collaborate with HIMSS to create a single customized demonstration with your technology partners. Must be contracted before December 31, 2022 to be eligible for this option.
- Present to HIMSS Global Conference attendees in a (1) hour education session anchored around the interoperability topic of your choice located within the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase Theater. Session will be promoted in the onsite program and HIMSS website with prominent organization branding.

Interoperability Showcase Connected/Premier Sponsors – IHE USA Optional Complimentary Benefits
In collaboration with IHE USA, participating organizations have the opportunity to be featured in bi-monthly Path to Production Digital Series webinar events and have the option to:
- Host up to three (3) 30–60-minute sessions at any of the six (6) Path to Production Digital Series webinar events, whether live or on-demand, for the 2023-2024 series (beginning January 2023). P2P sessions generally are two half-days of programming. The session should focus on how participating organizations are advancing standards-based interoperability in real-world applications. Session title and content to be pre-approved by HIMSS 30 days in advance of promotion schedule commencement.
- Participating organizations will be promoted as Path to Production participants in the Digital Series throughout the year by having their logo featured in Path to Production collateral and on the IHE USA website. OR
- Attend the 2023 IHE North American Connectathon IHE Experience Conference and Education Sessions co-located during the Connectathon week at no registration charge. Limited to two (2) participants for Premier Sponsors and one (1) for Connected Sponsors. Travel expenses are the responsibility of participants.
- Premier sponsors will have the option to participate in one (1) interoperability panel discussion during the IHE Experience conference.
- Connected sponsors will have the option to provide a use-case specific on-demand video for educational sessions related to their participation in the Interoperability Showcase.
Connected/Premier Sponsorship Additional Technology Participation
- Participation in additional Demonstrations or with different technologies within originally selected demonstration (e.g. platforms, systems, APIs, etc.)

*Minimum Requirements to participate as a Premier & Connected Demonstration Level Sponsor in the Interoperability Showcase:
- All participants must use an interoperability standard to exchange information (such as an HL7 Profile, IHE Profile, DICOM, DIRECT, etc.) and must undergo some proof of validation of associated standards to be approved by the Technical Project Manager. This can be attestation, visual, or conformance/validation testing (such as participation and validation at an IHE Connectathon, a FHIR Connectathon, etc.). This process may be completed during the HIMSS Interoperability Showcase Workshop at Connectathon. No proprietary exchanges will be allowed in the demonstrations.
- All HIMSS23 Showcase participants are required to attend a HIMSS Interoperability Showcase Workshop at the IHE North American Connectathon & Conference to connect and collaborate with other testing partners around demonstration topics. Visit iheusa.org for more information.
- This event will be in-person for Connectathon testing participants and virtual for all others.
- Participation in a weekly virtual meeting to plan your demonstration starting in December 2022.
- Attendance at set up for one (1) day prior to HIMSS23 (8:00 am-5:00 pm) and during all exhibition hours.

Spotlight Theater Thought Leadership Session

- HIMSS staff member to provide presentation guidelines and review each presentation to ensure appropriateness of content
- Spotlight Theater 20-minute session information will be listed in printed guide onsite, HIMSS Global, Conference website and mobile app if contracted by deadline date****
