As part of HIMSS22 in Orlando, HIMSS Gives Back is raising funds to benefit Healthy Start Coalition of Orange County, a not-for-profit organization that works to ensure pregnant women have access to care, and to improve maternal and infant health while reducing preterm births, low birth weight babies, and infant mortality.
Our Goal: Raise $30,000 to help Healthy Start provide their lifesaving services to more families through new parent resources and upgraded technology.
Technology to Transform Health
Healthy Start care coordinators work from clients’ homes with outdated technology and unreliable internet. Upgraded technology would expedite Healthy Start’s intake process, increase the odds of a family utilizing resources and serve more families by helping care coordinators:
• Access and modify client records quickly
• Render EMR reports
• Prevent systemwide crashes
• Protect against cyberattacks
