SpeakEasy
Dates: Sunday, May 18, Monday May 19, and Tuesday May 20, from 4-5 pm
Location: ATS Networking Super Center, Convention Center
Program Goals:
Optimize the personal and professional stories of three leaders in respiratory medicine in a relaxed and engaging setting.
Allows for 1-on-1 communication between the speaker and participants. Attendees will be provided an opportunity within the SpeakEasy Zone to listen to the leaders, ask questions, mingle and network.
Further promote networking in a relaxed setting.
Diverse speakers (3) who have exemplified perseverance are chosen from varying backgrounds, but stories may include aspects of medical education, clinical practice, leadership, mentorship (as mentee or mentor), scientific investigation, and even personal life.
Each Storytelling Series will reflect on major career transition points, balancing personal life events or obligations, and a hindsight view (key take home points) of each speaker’s own career decisions or pathways as they wish to portray their story. The goal of this series is to share an honest account of professional and personal ups and downs in medicine.
