Year-Round CME Engagement
The AAAAI is preparing to launch Core
Curriculum for Advanced Practice Providers in Allergy & Immunology, a
comprehensive educational program designed for nurse practitioners and
physician assistants working in or entering the specialty.
Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) play an
increasingly important role in delivering allergy and immunology care, but many
enter the field without access to a structured, specialty-specific educational
pathway. This curriculum is designed to help address that gap by building the
knowledge and clinical confidence APPs need to assess and manage patients in
allergy and immunology practice.
The self-paced curriculum includes 13 modules
and approximately 27 hours of education, with comprehensive coverage of
assessment, diagnosis, testing, treatment planning, disease management and
clinical decision-making. It can support both the onboarding of APPs who are
new to the specialty and the ongoing professional development of experienced
clinicians.
AAAAI is seeking an unrestricted educational
grant of $50,000 to support the final development, launch, dissemination and
outcomes evaluation of this initiative. Grant support would help AAAAI expand
the curriculum’s reach and make this specialty-specific education accessible to
APPs and allergy/immunology practices nationwide. Recognition of support will
be provided on the course home page through a text-only acknowledgment
identifying the company as an educational grant supporter. Company logos will
not be displayed. To maintain the independence of the education, the supporting
organization may not promote the curriculum or disseminate course-related
communications directly to learners.
The curriculum has been developed independently
with the expertise of AAAAI and will be implemented in accordance with
applicable accreditation requirements. The supporting organization will have no
role in selecting faculty, determining content or influencing educational
recommendations.
The prospectus linked below contains additional information about the curriculum, intended audience,
dissemination strategy, outcomes plan and proposed use of funds. We would
welcome the opportunity to discuss whether this initiative aligns with your
educational priorities.
