Description
This Assembly is concerned with the entire spectrum of acute and chronic pulmonary infections encompassing bacterial, tuberculous and nontuberculous mycobacteria, viral, and fungal infections; all aspects from pathophysiology, immunology, and host defense, microbiology, epidemiology, prevention, and control, to diagnosis and treatment; and all clinical manifestations including community-acquired and hospital-acquired infections, infections in the immunocompromised host, airway infections, bronchiectasis, and empyema.
